Couples Therapy

Romantic relationships have the potential to be rewarding and satisfying, allowing both people to fully expand into their individual potential, as well as the couple.

In couples therapy the relationship between the individuals is the focus of the work. It may be that you have noticed you could be getting more from your relationship, or that your communication style isn’t working as well as it could, or that something has happened that has changed the dynamics (an affair, bereavement, the arrival of children etc.) that needs to be addressed in a care-full environment with a trusted other.

Therapy for couples can be sought at any time during the relationship – it doesn’t need to be in a crisis. Indeed, some couples find using a therapist towards the beginning of the relationship is helpful to establish good habits in addressing difficulties.
